Ilse Isidro-Antonio was born in Oaxaca, Oaxaca Mexico, but at the age of four, moved to Greer, South Carolina, where she has resided ever since. Throughout her life, she feels that God has constantly made a "way in the wilderness" for her to pursue higher education as a DREAMer. She is currently a senior at the University of South Carolina Upstate, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Spanish Translation/Interpretation. While at USC Upstate, Ilse has been on the Dean’s List for the 2014, 2015, and 2017 school years, a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, and the Student Nurses Association USC Upstate Chapter Class of 2018 Representative.

However, her most rewarding accomplishment has been mentoring younger DACA students as they transition into college and apply for scholarships. After Ilse obtains her BSN, she plans to serve the underserved through the medical field as an RN for two years in a low-income setting. She ultimately hopes to enter Medical School and become a Pediatric Primary Care Physician. Her core values of faith, trust, and service will guide her well in her future.
